Maya DeBrouwer, a junior at La Canada High in California, finished fourth in the Division 4 girls final by covering the 5-kilometer layout in 17:37.4 at Woodward Park in Fresno at the CIF State Cross Country Championships. DeBrouwer ascended from fifth last season in 17:50.1, helping La Canada place fourth with 159 points.
